here’s a new rough mix of song # 4:
as you can see no title yet. no vocals yet either but musically it’s starting to take shape. I’m thinking this is more of a “kitchen sink” mix where everything’s on the table – eventually I’ll probably try and condense it a little but that’ll be a lot easier once the vocals are in place. as always, I welcome your comments and ideas!
I especially like the spacey baritone guitar sound riffs… or is that keyboard? Anyway, a great start!

I like the track so far as it stands.
Have you thought of adding some “Flash and the Pan / Buggles” effects to your lyrics?
I think it would sound cool on this…I don’t know if you like that sort of stuff at all.
Or how about some “conversataion” in the background…especially during the keyboard solo and the “secret agent” area of the song.
Just some thoughts that came to me as I listened to it.

thanks Chris – those are some good ideas. we’ve already added a new vocal part in the middle bit and David Bos has added some new guitar parts which add a lot of melodic interest so the next mix should be quite different. I’m hoping to get that online in a day or two – hope you like it!
